El Roig Arena Will Revive Nino Bravo in Valencia Using Artificial Intelligence: "It's Not a Tribute, It's a Reunion"

Jun 3, 13:50

The legendary voice of Nino Bravo is one of the most iconic in Spanish and Latin American music history. Known for timeless hits such as "Un beso y una flor", "Libre", "Noelia", and "América, América", Bravo's music transcends generations. Tragically, he passed away at the age of 28 in a car accident while traveling from Valencia to Madrid. On September 6th, Roig Arena will open its doors with a concert featuring numerous artists, aiming to bring Bravo back to the stage using cutting-edge technology and AI. Promoter Paco Moreno emphasizes that this event is “not a tribute, but a reunion.”

Celebrating what would have been Bravo's 80th birthday, the concert will feature top-tier artists such as David Bisbal, Pablo López, Malú, Marta Sánchez, Chambao, Niña Pastori, Miguel Poveda, Antonio Carmona, Andrés Suárez, Victor Manuel, Revolver, Pitingo, Eva Ferri, and Juanjo Bona. Tickets will be available starting July 9th, exclusively through Santander SMusic, with general sales opening on July 11th.

Marta Sánchez, one of the participating artists, shared her admiration for Nino Bravo, stating, “It's a great honor to be part of this homage. Bravo's brief life left an extraordinary musical legacy in Spain. His voice was a marvel that left no one indifferent.” Sánchez fondly recalled recording “Libre” for a tribute album in 2009, describing it as a treasured piece in her repertoire.

In a surprising reveal, Eva Ferri, Bravo's daughter, will perform at the event. She expressed immense pride in her father's legacy, stating, “His voice is the soundtrack for many, belonging not just to him but to everyone.” Ferri promised an unprecedented experience, assuring attendees would feel Bravo's presence in his homeland.

The event organizers hinted at the inclusion of several Valencian artists, keeping their identities under wraps. Paco Moreno explained the inception of the event as a collaboration with Antonio Luna, aiming to blend classical and futuristic elements, promising an experience unlike any seen in Spain.

Maricruz Laguna from GTS agency described the project as “beautiful,” noting the enthusiastic response from artists. She credited Bravo's family as the driving force behind the event, highlighting Roig Arena's potential to become a global music venue.

Complementing the concert, Bravo's 80th anniversary will feature album releases, merchandise, and efforts to preserve parts of his work. There is also interest from Latin America regarding potential international shows.

The Roig Arena is set to be a multifunctional pavilion in Valencia, spearheaded by entrepreneur Juan Roig, with a €280 million investment. It aims to host activities year-round with sustainable management, serving as the home for Valencia Basket.
