Tragedy struck in the rural outskirts of Getafe, a municipality near Madrid, when Servando, an 81-year-old man, succumbed to his injuries after a freak accident involving his tractor. While working on his family's farm, the tractor inadvertently severed his left leg, leading to his untimely death due to excessive bleeding.

According to reports from a spokesperson of the 112 Comunidad de Madrid, the incident happened when Servando approached the tractor's crankshaft—a component used to power various farming tools—and accidentally became entangled. Despite the efforts of nearby neighbors who discovered him injured near a path close to Perales del Río, medical personnel from Summa 112 could only confirm his passing upon arrival.

Servando was alone at the time of the accident, which led to his tragic demise from blood loss shortly thereafter. Police sources have classified the incident as an accidental death, and the National Police are conducting an investigation to determine the exact circumstances.

In the wake of the heartbreaking event, a psychologist was dispatched to console the grieving family, who reside merely meters from where the accident occurred. Although homicide detectives initially responded to the scene, they later ruled out any foul play, affirming the accidental nature of Servando's death.

The small town, home to 10,000 residents, is reeling from the loss. Servando’s daughter had just left him before the accident took place, leaving the community to mourn a man fondly remembered as "a very hardworking individual." A neighbor lamented, "You left the place you cherished so much," reflecting the collective sorrow felt among locals.
