Actor Devin Lee Harjes Passes Away at 41, Known for Roles in 'Boardwalk Empire' and 'Daredevil'
Devin Lee Harjes, an actor appreciated for his performances in notable TV shows such as Boardwalk Empire and Daredevil, has sadly passed away in New York on Tuesday, aged 41, as reported by his official website. The talented performer was battling cancer, which was diagnosed in February, according to the industry publication The Hollywood Reporter.
Harjes gained recognition through his roles in several successful television productions. In Boardwalk Empire, he portrayed the iconic boxer Jack Dempsey in two episodes; played the role of Oscar, a nurse and henchman of Kingpin, in Daredevil; and appeared as Clyde, a bank security guard, in another superhero series based in Batman's universe, Gotham. Other shows featuring his work include Orange is the New Black, Elementary, Blue Bloods, FBI, and Manifest.
“Beyond acting, he was a martial arts student and a regular at the gym. He often joked about being safer than getting kicked in the face by a horse,” his website fondly recalls.
