Discovering La Primitiva: Monday’s Draw on June 2
The roots of La Primitiva trace back to 1763, originally known as the "lottery by numbers." Although it was discontinued for a period, it made a triumphant return in 1985 under its current name, while preserving the timeless essence of the game.
The variety of prizes in La Primitiva are categorized, requiring participants to match three numbers to win, with the special category needing six numbers plus a refund number. Additionally, players have the option to engage in the Joker, providing extra rewards through a seven-digit code.
Prize amounts in each category are approximate, influenced by the total revenue and the number of winners. The Joker, an additional game linked to La Primitiva since 2012, costs an extra euro. A randomly assigned number must match the winning number in the exact sequence to earn prizes up to 1 million euros.
La Primitiva draws occur thrice weekly on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 9:40 PM. After the draw, you can verify your luck against the official prize listings on the Loterías website or through EL PAÍS.
Note: EL PAÍS does not take responsibility for any potential errors or omissions. The official list is exclusively provided by Loterías y Apuestas del Estado.
