Masked Shooter Takes Lives of Two Men Outside Fuengirola Pub

Jun 1, 2025, 09:34

In the quiet night near Fuengirola's Los Boliches promenade, a masked assailant unleashed a tragic act of violence. Emerging from a vehicle, he fired shots at two men standing by the entrance of an Irish pub, instantly claiming their lives. The initial investigation by the National Police suggests a possible drug trafficking dispute, yet other motives haven't been ruled out.

This incident marks the seventh firearm-related attack in Málaga province since Easter Friday, resulting in four fatalities. The attack occurred shortly before 11:30 PM, when the shooter, with his face concealed, shot at the victims. One man was struck in the chest, succumbing immediately, while the other was hit multiple times, dying on the promenade despite prompt medical attention.

The perpetrator fled swiftly, leaving no trace before emergency services or police arrived. According to a brief statement from the National Police this morning, the investigation remains active, and no suspects have been apprehended.

These violent episodes have cast a shadow over Málaga, with gun-related conflicts erupting over the past six weeks. It began with a night-time confrontation over a drug deal at a Marbella nightclub, leaving one man wounded. Subsequent shootings occurred in Estepona, Mijas, and Málaga city, including a dispute outside a hair salon. The cycle continued with three individuals surrendering after fatally shooting a man and injuring his mother in Humilladero. Early May saw two men arrested for repeatedly firing at a driver over personal grudges, who himself faced legal charges.
