The scorching days of extreme heat are making their presence felt across Spain, with temperatures soaring since the week's start.
Thermometers in Seville have already hit the 40°C mark, marking the first time this year such heights have been reached, well ahead of the official start of summer.
This weekend promises more intense heat. Although cooler breezes will be felt along the Cantabrian coast, the rest of the country will continue to experience temperatures more typical of the height of summer rather than the end of May.
When can we expect relief? The upcoming week is set to bring a general drop in temperatures.
