In an alarming incident this Friday afternoon, seven individuals sustained severe injuries, while an eighth person, a woman, is in critical condition following a vehicular collision in Burela's fairground, Lugo. Local police authorities confirmed that an elderly driver, approximately 80 years old, entered the area and hit the pedestrians for reasons still under investigation.

The emergency situation was reported to 112 Galicia at around 4:15 PM, following a pre-alert from Galicia's Health Emergencies Service-061. Witnesses also shared that a vehicle veered off the road, impacting a group of people near the attractions.

Emergency services noted that all involved individuals were conscious, with one woman's leg injury requiring urgent medical attention. The victims were swiftly transported to the local hospital for treatment.

The injured individuals are part of Eu Son, a non-profit organization committed to supporting those with intellectual disabilities.
