Chenoa to Host New Show 'Dog House' on RTVE

May 30, 2025, 14:54

The renowned singer Chenoa is set to expand her presence on RTVE with a fresh program following her success with 'The Floor', which captivated audiences with a remarkable 12% average audience share, as reported by Barlovento. Currently serving as a judge on 'Tu cara me suena' (Antena 3) and gearing up for the return of 'Operación Triunfo' (Prime Video) in September, Chenoa will soon host 'Dog House', a show dedicated to promoting the adoption of dogs.

Spain is home to over nine million dogs, and 'Dog House', produced in collaboration with Boxifish, offers viewers a glimpse into the daily operations of a dog shelter. This international format, with eight versions worldwide, invites families and individuals to find a loyal companion and embark on a transformative journey.

Through the use of robotic cameras, the program captures the emotional voyage of each case—from the moment a dog arrives at the shelter to the hopeful initial meeting with a potential new family, culminating in the magical moment of adoption, should all go as planned.

The show seeks to emphasize the extraordinary bonds forged between humans and dogs, which can profoundly alter their lives forever. Yet, in Spain, more than 100,000 dogs still await a loving home.

Many pets lack microchips or are not deregistered upon passing. According to a recent inquiry by EL PAÍS to veterinary associations across Spain, there are approximately 9.2 million dogs and 1.6 million cats. In numerous regions, dogs now outnumber children.
